The Ellis Edwards Foundation announces the return of it’s Charity Golf Day on 19th June 2026

Inspired by the extraordinary courage of Ellis Edwards, and the success of the inaugural Charity Golf Day in 2025, the Ellis Edwards Foundation is proud to announce its annual Charity Golf Day, taking place on Friday 19th June 2026 at the scenic Ferndown Forest Golf Course. This annual event honours Ellis’s legacy through acts of kindness and collective action for children grieving the loss of a parent or sibling.

About the event

The Charity Golf Day invites players, sponsors, and supporters to come together for a day of golf, fundraising and community spirit. Whether you’re a seasoned golfer or simply passionate about making a difference, this event promises a memorable experience for all. This is the second Charity Golf Day hosted by The Ellis Edwards Foundation, and it SOLD OUT in record time last year!

Event highlights include:

18-hole team tournament with player competitions and premium prizes
Player welcome packs and exclusive Ellis Edwards Foundation merchandise
Pre-match breakfast included, and refreshments available to purchase throughout the day
BBQ lunch
Post-game celebrations for all the family with live music
Take part in our supporters raffle to win our famously big prizes!

What matters most to me about our Charity Golf Day is the community it creates. People show up for Ellis, for each other, and for the families we support. It’s a powerful reminder that love, community and generosity can make such a big difference to the children who need it, when people join our mission.

Why this event matters

Funds raised from the ticket sales, silent auction and supporters raffle will directly support the Ellis Edwards Foundation’s initiatives.

We also encourage our community to raise awareness of The Ellis Edwards Foundation, to join the events that we host throughout the year, and to arrange their own fundraising activities too.

Raising awareness of the charity also means that we are able to reach those who need our help – through referrals, word of mouth and personal requests for support, we want to ensure that every child has the chance to heal and get the professional support and the family time they deserve. Since Ellis’ passing, his parents realised that the help for children left behind by the loss of a sibling or parent is hugely under supported.

The Foundation is already supporting bereaved children with days out, family trips and the opportunity to enjoy time together to recharge and process their emotions. The Charity Golf Day will raise the profile of the foundation and help raise critical funds to support more children and their families. This event is more than a day on the green – it’s a day for supporters to assemble and join the incredibly important mission of The Ellis Edwards Foundation.

Our experience has shown us that children need to be able to talk about their traumatic experience to be able to cope, and move forward. Our mission at The Ellis Edwards Foundation is to help children see a glimmer of light during their darkest days.

The success of the Foundation relies hugely on our supporters and community, through fundraising events, sponsorship and charitable donations. We’ve had an incredible response from local businesses donating auction items and raffle prizes for the Charity Golf Day, and sponsorship of the event has meant we can provide an exceptional day and focus our efforts on fundraising for the foundation.

Registration update (1st May 2026) – We are almost SOLD OUT with only one 2-ball and one single-player space left!

Playing today meant more than a round of golf. It was a chance to honour a meaningful cause and help create the kind of impact that lasts long after the final putt.

My swing was questionable, but the cause was unquestionable. What a brilliant day for something that truly matters.

Events like this remind you that sport has a way of bringing people together. I’m proud to have been part of a day that blends fun with real, charitable impact.

Today wasn’t about the scorecard - it was about showing up for something bigger than ourselves. Being part of this charity golf day reminded me how powerful community can be when we all join the same mission.

Thank you Ellis Edwards Foundation team for putting on such a fantastic day - the golf, the food, the entertainment, the raffle. It was perfect and Ellis would be so proud of you all.

The golf day was one I won't forget - the people, the energy, and all in support of an incredible cause. We're proud to support the Ellis Edwards Foundation, and it was an honour to be part of their first ever charity fundraiser.
