The Ellis Edwards Foundation invites you to the Community Fundraiser, that follows the Charity Golf Day on 19th June 2026
Inspired by the extraordinary courage of Ellis Edwards, and the success of the inaugural Charity Golf Day in 2025, the Ellis Edwards Foundation is proud to announce its annual Charity Golf Day, taking place on Friday 19th June 2026 at the scenic Ferndown Forest Golf Course. This annual event honours Ellis’s legacy through acts of kindness and collective action for children grieving the loss of a parent or sibling.
About the event
The Charity Golf Day invites players, sponsors, and supporters to come together for a day of golf, fundraising and community spirit. After the golf day wraps up, we open the doors to an evening that’s all about people coming together. No fuss, no formality, no ticket sales – just good vibes for all our community with a family-friendly evening that raises money for the foundation.
It’s a family‑friendly event, and everyone’s welcome. Whether you’ve been on the course all day or you’re joining us fresh in the evening, you’ll find an easy, friendly atmosphere waiting for you.
Golfers – invite your friends, family, children, neighbours, colleagues… and even the boss!
And if you didn’t play golf during the day – it doesn’t matter! Come along anyway. So many of our community are joining us after work, and when the kids finish school – for live music, wood-fired pizzas, a raffle and silent auction.
Live Music
Local DJs will be playing throughout the night – nothing over the top, just great tunes that bring a bit of energy and make the space feel alive.
Raffle & Silent Auction
We have an incredible selection of prizes and experiences up for grabs. Every ticket and every auction bid helps us support children grieving the loss of a parent or sibling, and every pound raised genuinely makes a difference.
Pub Food to Order
The Ferndown Forest Golf Course is well known for it’s delicious food – especially their outdoor oven and wood-fired pizzas! The kitchen will be open with food available to order. Good food, good company, what more could you need?!
The community evening matters because it brings people together in the simplest, most genuine way. You can feel the kindness in the room - families chatting, kids running around, people catching up over music and food. Those small moments of togetherness are what keep this foundation going. They remind us why we do this, and how much stronger we are when we show up for each other.

Why this event matters
Funds raised from the silent auction and supporters raffle will directly support the Ellis Edwards Foundation’s initiatives. This night is about community – people showing up, raising awareness, sharing a meal, listening to music, and helping us do something meaningful in Ellis’s name.
We also encourage our community to raise awareness of The Ellis Edwards Foundation, to join the events that we host throughout the year, and to arrange their own fundraising activities too.
How can we help you?
Raising awareness of the charity also means that we are able to reach those who need our help – through referrals, word of mouth and personal requests for support, we want to ensure that every child has the chance to heal and get the professional support and the family time they deserve. Since Ellis’ passing, his parents realised that the help for children left behind by the loss of a sibling or parent is hugely under supported.
The Foundation is already supporting bereaved children with days out, family trips and the opportunity to enjoy time together to recharge and process their emotions. The Charity Golf Day and Community Fundraiser will raise the profile of the foundation and help raise critical funds to support more children and their families. This event is more than a day on the green – it’s a day for supporters to assemble and join the incredibly important mission of The Ellis Edwards Foundation.
I’m not a golfer, but that’s never stopped me from wanting to play my part. The community fundraiser event is where I feel most at home - surrounded by friends and families, music, and people who simply want to do something good together. It reminds me that fundraising at this event isn’t about how well you play golf; it’s about showing up in whatever way you can to honour Ellis' legacy and joining the Foundation's mission.

How to Get Involved
The success of the Foundation relies hugely on our supporters and community, through fundraising events, sponsorship and charitable donations. We’ve had an incredible response from local businesses donating auction items and raffle prizes for the Charity Golf Day, and sponsorship of the event has meant we can provide an exceptional day and focus our efforts on fundraising for the foundation.
