Jan is a trustee of The Ellis Edwards Foundation and a passionate advocate for building communities where young people feel seen, supported and safe, especially during the most difficult moments of their lives.
As the founder of Wookify, a consultancy and technology company specialising in residential living, Jan has spent his career developing innovative digital solutions that help people feel more connected within the places they call home. Prior to founding Wookify, he spent over 15 years working in the student living sector, where he helped launch and operate some of the UK’s leading purpose-built communities — always with a focus on creating environments where young people can truly thrive.
Jan brings this same commitment to his role at the Foundation. Inspired by the strength of families like Ellis’s, he is dedicated to ensuring that children and young people who have lost a sibling or close relative to cancer receive the compassion, support and resources they need to heal and move forward. His role as trustee includes supporting governance, operations and outreach as the Foundation grows its support network across the UK. Through Ellis’s legacy, Jan is proud to be part of a movement rooted in empathy, community and hope.
